Regina Police arrest 42-year-old man after robbery on Montague Street

A 42-year-old Regina man has been charged with robbery after a convenience store was held up on the 3200 block of Montague Street Thursday morning.

Police were called to the scene around 12:04 a.m. on Thursday.

Preliminary investigation indicates an employee of the business was held at knife point, and told to open the cash register.

The suspect then fled on foot before police arrived.

The suspect, 42-year-old Ryan Wade Lavallee was arrested after being tracked by a canine team.

Lavallee has been charged with robbery and failing to comply with the condition of a release order.

He made his first court appearance on Thursday.
