After opting out of his contract earlier this week, Riders offensive lineman Dakoda Shepley has found himself an NFL opportunity.
The San Francisco 49ers announced Saturday afternoon they have signed Shepley, who was the team’s most outstanding rookie last season after starting 14 games at right guard.
The 6’4, 310 pound Shepley was the team’s first round draft pick in 2018. He unsuccessfully tried to land a job with the New York Jets before coming to Saskatchewan.
Shepley must return to Saskatchewan if he is released. His contract with the Riders expires in February 2022.
