Austin Wagner was due to become a restricted free agent this year, but he doesn’t have to worry about that anymore.
The Los Angeles Kings have signed the former Pats forward to a three-year contract extension worth $3.4 million.
Wagner, who played with the Pats from 2013-2017, registered 11 points in 65 games with the Kings last season while posting a team-high 145 hits.
The 22-year-old Calgary native has racked up 32 points in 127 career games.
He was originally selected by the Kings in the fourth-round (99th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft
