Police searching for suspects involved in bear mace incident at Regina hotel

The Regina Police Service is hoping to identify a couple suspects involved in a weapons offence incident on Monday.

Officers were dispatched at around 5:20 a.m. on September 7 to a hotel on the 700 block of Albert Street North where a man was sprayed with bear mace.

Details from the investigation suggest that a man was outside the hotel when he was approached by an unknown man and woman. When they asked him for a cigarette and the victim refused, the suspects followed him into the hotel and sprayed him with mace. The suspects left the scene on foot.

Police say the male suspect is approximately six feet tall and was wearing a black shirt and black mask. The woman was wearing a pink sweater.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
