The City of Regina is reminding residents that it’s time to once again band your trees.

In order to help reduce cankerworms in Regina, residents are asked to band their elm, Manitoba maples and fruit trees.

Tree banding can prevent up to 400 larvae from a single tree come spring time.

This past spring the city sprayed 17,000 trees.
