A Regina man was in court Monday afternoon after an alleged robbery that happened on Sunday.

Regina police say they were sent to the 1300 block of Broadway Avenue, just south of downtown, around 12:40 p.m after a man said he was approached by another man upon leaving a business.  That man demanded money from the victim and when he refused, he was punched resulting in a brief altercation until another person came in to break things up.

The suspect left the scene, but was found nearby where he was taken into custody and charged.  It does not appear as if there was a prior relationship between the two and that the interaction was random.

38-year-old Chase Mickleborough is facing one charge of robbery.
