The CFL is once again requiring teams to name 10 players on their 45 man negotiation list.
Of the 10 names released by the Riders on Thursday morning, two of them are quarterbacks
Luke Falk is a quarterback from Washington State. He made two starts with the New York Jets last season after being drafted in 2018 by Tennessee. He tried to latch on with the 49ers in August, but did not.
The other QB is Jack Abraham of Southern Mississippi. He started 13 games last season for the Golden Eagles, completing 275 of 405 passes for 3,496 yards with 34 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. In two games this season, Abraham has gone 46-64 for 578 yards with three touchdowns and an interception
Other players on the list released by the CFL are: linebackers DeMarquis Gates (Ole Miss) and Nigel Harris (South Florida), defensive linemen Anthony Lanier (Alabama A&M) and Garrett Marino (Alabama at Birmingham), wide receivers J.J. Nelson (Alabama at Birmingham) and Jester Weah (Pittsburgh), defensive back Terrell Williams (Houston) and running back Ralph Webb (Vanderbilt).
The biggest list on the name of players released by the CFL is quarterback Josh Rosen as he is on Edmonton’s list.
The 23-year-old, taken 10th overall by Arizona in 2018, is currently a free agent after being cut by the Miami Dolphins at the end of training camp. He has started 16 games in the NFL, throwing 2,845 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions.
