A Melfort Mustangs player has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, the City of Melfort and the hockey club.

The player and their close contacts have been identified and contacted by the local public health office and have since been advised to self-isolate.

The SJHL shared in a release there has been limited contact in the community.

No further comments by any of the organizations will be provided at this time.
