SJHL’s Mustangs cleared to resume hockey activities following negative test results

The Melfort Mustangs have been approved to resume hockey-related activities, according to a release from the team.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League shared the release on Wednesday afternoon after COVID-19 tests were given to members of the team. All their tests came back as negative.

With the Mustangs saying there is no risk of spread of the virus, the team will continue training for the upcoming season and will continue to follow public health measures.

On September 25, a player of the Melfort Mustangs tested positive for COVID-19. The player and their close contacts were identified and were advised to self-isolate at the time of the positive result.
