Regina Police on the lookout for suspects in peculiar theft

Regina Police are asking the public’s help in solving a strange case of shoplifting.

The suspects in this case acted as a team in a “distraction theft”. One person created a distraction, allowing their accomplices to steal a target item. In this particular case, it was thousand of dollars worth of “White Strips”.

On September 29, Regina Police responded to a shoplifting incident that occurred a few days earlier, on September 26th at approximately 4:20 pm at the Shoppers Drug Mart on the 2000 block of Park Street.

Information shows three people, two men and one woman, entered the business. One of the men stood at the end of the aisle and kept watch while the other cleared the shelf of tooth-whitening products. It’s believed the items were hidden in a make-shift bag attached to the inside of the woman’s coat. Near the checkout, the first man distracted an employee while the others made their way out the door.

All suspects are believed to be Caucasian and are in the 40-50 age range. The incident might be related to a similar incident that occurred in December of 2019.

Anyone who has information to identify these suspects or assist the investigation in any way is asked to contact the Regina Police  or Crime Stoppers.
