Men’s curling in Saskatchewan ready to hit the ice

The first-ever “Saskatchewan Men’s Super Series” is coming to Regina’s Highland Curling Club starting October 16.

The five-team, round-robin event, presented by Vaderstad and Calidon Leasing,  will feature defending men’s provincial champ Matt Dunstone and rinks skipped by Colton Flasch, Rylan Kleiter, Kody Hartung and Shawn Meachem.

Dunstone helped organize the event and says like many other teams, his squad is itching to get back on the ice to compete so he has gone out and recruited some of what he thinks are the top rinks in the province to help himself and the others get the high-level competition that is needed.

The top three teams will make the playoffs with the top team going straight to the final on Sunday, October 18.

The event will likely be streamed with details on that coming in the near future.

All teams will be following the guidelines set out by CurlSask in their “return to curling” document that were announced earlier this year.
