Regina police arrest man wanted for August attempted murder

Police in Regina have found a man who was the subject of a warrant for attempted murder in an incident that happened back on August 3 on the 3400 block of Dewdney Avenue.

24-year-old Brendon Curtis Keewatin was arrested on September 30 by members of the Regina Police Service Community Services Division and the Gang Unit. He was charged with attempted murder and multiple firearms charges.

His first court appearance was on October 1.

Keewatin was involved in an event on the morning of August 3 where a 24-year-old man was the victim of an apparent shooting. The victim was taken to hospital.

The investigation led police to obtain a search warrant for a home on the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street where several items were seized including firearms and ammunition.

Four men including Keewatin have been charged with attempted murder and an 18-year-old male is facing weapons and drug charges. The 24-year-old victim has also been charged in this case.
