Prince Albert’s Braden Schneider and Saskatoon’s Connor Zary heard their names get called at the 2020 NHL Draft Tuesday night.
Schneider went with the 19th overall pick to the New York Rangers. The 19-year-old played with the Brandon Wheat Kings and had seven goals and 35 assists last season.

With the 24th pick, the Calgary Flames took Zary, who plays for the Kamloops Blazers. He had 38 goals and 48 assists last season.

Two members of the Prince Albert Raiders were also taken in the first round. Defenceman Kaiden Guhle went to Montreal with the 16th pick while forward Ozzy Wiesblatt went 31st to San Jose.
