A one year-old victim of an assault from last week has died from her injuries.

Regina Police started this investigation on October 7th when the one-year-old girl was taken to hospital to treat injuries suspected to be the result of physical abuse.

At the time, 20 year-old Bailey Peepeetch was originally charged with aggravated assault. RPS is currently working with the Regina Children’s Justice Centre, the Major Crimes Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service on the appropriate next steps in this investigation.

The accused has been remanded into custody until October 20th.
