Man and woman charged after Wednesday night robbery

A Regina man and woman are facing robbery charges after an incident Wednesday.

At approximately 4:36 pm, Regina Police responded to a business on the 200 block of Edward Street for a report of a robbery. The owner of the business reported a man and woman had come into his store and a verbal exchange ensued. When the owner asked them to leave, the man allegedly pulled wires out of the wall, disconnecting electronic equipment.

It’s also alleged the woman took merchandise without paying. When the owner confronted the woman, the man struck him in the head. The situation escalated further when the man continued to assault the victim outside in the parking lot.

The two suspects fled on foot and were found and arrested by patrol with the assistance of a canine team. Fortunately, the victim sustained only relative minor injuries.

35-year-old Jamie Lee Kramer and 24-year-old Casandra Jade Wilcox-Quebec have been jointly charged with robbery. In addition, Kramer is charged with mischief under $5,000.

Both suspects made their first court appearance on Thursday morning.
