RCMP investigating possible homicide of 48-year-old man in RM of Shellbrook

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a possible homicide in the RM of Shellbrook.

Police say the body of 48-year-old Bradley John Schmalz was found at a rural property approximately 32 kilometres north of the town of Shellbrook along Highway 240.

Investigators believe the homicide took place sometime between Monday and Thursday.

An autopsy will be conducted in Saskatoon on Monday to further examine the circumstances surrounding Schmalz’s death.

Officers are encouraging anyone who may have information concerning this investigation, including anyone who may have been in contact with Bradley John Schmalz leading up to October 12 through 15, to contact the Ahtahkakoop RCMP at 306-747-2606, or Crime Stoppers.

Shellbrook is about 45 kilometers west of Prince Albert.
