Onlooking motorists receive tickets from Saskatoon police after fatal accident

The Saskatoon Police Service says more than thirty tickets have been issued to drivers who used their cell phones to take pictures or video of the fatal collision on Circle Drive Wednesday. The penalty is $580.

Northbound traffic stretched for kilometres south of the accident scene during rush hour Wednesday on Circle Drive where it crosses over College Drive. That’s where three super-B semis collided shortly after 9:30 a.m.

A 51-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene. One other driver was not hurt and a third driver was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
