Sask. Party holds “Big Honkin’ Rally” days before election

Saskatchewan Party Leader Scott Moe addressed supporters and volunteers in their cars during their “Big Honkin’ Rally” Thursday afternoon.

Moe says the rally was a great opportunity to thank their volunteers for their work during the campaign.

“The point of a rally like this is to just keep our volunteers motivated and thank them for the effort that they have made, not only over the course of the last four weeks, but the effort that they’re going to make over the course of the next four days in getting our support out to the polls,” said Moe. “We, any political party, would be absolutely nowhere without a core base of volunteers.”

During the rally, Moe once again said the people of Saskatchewan have a distinct choice in front of them. He added people should base their votes on the records of the respective parties.

“We’re happy to run on our record, we’re also happy to run on the vision that the parties have for the province,” said Moe. “Our vision of continued growth of people, population, jobs, opportunity, versus the NDP’s record of spending recklessly and driving us ultimately to an environment of higher taxes.”

Moe has been encouraging people to get out and vote early because he know the stakes are high.

“This is an exciting election, and I always say that the next election matters, but I really believe this election matters,” said Moe.

Saskatchewanians head to the polls on Monday.
