Over 30 percent of eligible voters for Monday’s provincial election have already voted

The final numbers are in from five days of advance polls for Monday’s Saskatchewan election.

Elections Saskatchewan says a record was set with 185,061 people entering their ballot including 31,412 on Saturday which was the last day people could participate in advance polls.

When you add just over 61,000 mail-in ballots that were approved by Elections Saskatchewan, it means over 246,000 of Saskatchewan’s 814,000 registered voters have no need to visit a polling station on Monday.

Polls open Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. that evening.

Once the polls have closed, 620 CKRM will have special updates throughout the evening as the Saskatchewan Party looks for a fourth mandate, and to remain as the party of choice in Saskatchewan, which is what they have been since 2007.
