Moose Jaw Police investigating city’s first homicide of 2020

Moose Jaw Police have announced the names of the accused and victim in the homicide that took place Wednesday  afternoon.

Police were called to the 0 block of Stadacona Street for a report of a stabbing. The victim, 33 year-old Shaun Holmes, died from his injuries.

The investigation led police to a residence on the 400 block of Ominica Street east, where police, with the help of the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, were able to arrest the suspect at 3:00 AM Thursday morning.

33 year-old Vincent Picken of Moose Jaw faces a charge of second degree murder and several breaches of court orders.
