Snowfall Warnings are in effect Friday morning for northeastern and east central Saskatchewan, including Melfort, Nipawin, Tisdale and Hudson Bay.

A low pressure system moving across the prairies will bring heavy snow to east-central Saskatchewan and central Manitoba beginning Friday afternoon and persist through much of Saturday.

Snow will be heavy at times, giving total amounts of 10 to 20 cm.

Environment Canada warns visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

The snow is expected to taper off Saturday afternoon.
