2020 advance polls turnout nearly double what Regina saw in 2016

Just over 14,000 people cast a ballot in the advance polls for Monday’s civic election in Regina.

There were five locations across the city, including a drive-thru poll at City Hall where 1,806 cast a vote.

Inside City Hall 914 votes were cast, 2,171 voted at Northgate Mall, 2,412 at Victoria Square, 3,918 at South Leisure Centre and 3,153 at Northwest Leisure Centre for a grand-total of 14,374.

By comparison only 7,200 voted in advance polls in 2016.
