SaskEnergy launches three rebate programs ahead of winter heating season

As we get set for the winter heating season, SaskEnergy is again offering rebates and programs to ensure your home heating is safe and efficient.

Spokesperson Casey McLeod says one they run every year is the “Tune Up Assistance” program.

“It’s designed to help raise awareness of the proper maintenance of heating equipment, as well as the importance of carbon monoxide safety in your home,” McLeod said. “This program is designed to help low-income households with some really easy, accessible improvements that we can help them do.”

In addition, McLeod says they’re expanding the Residential Equipment Replacement Rebate.

“What we’re doing with that program this year is actually offering rebates on additional natural gas heating appliances over and above the natural gas furnaces that we did last year.”

SaskEnergy is also offering a rebate on the purchase of carbon monoxide alarms.
