COVID-19 cases identified at more Regina schools

More COVID-19 cases are popping up at schools in the Queen City.

On Thursday afternoon, a positive case has been diagnosed in an adult at St. Gabriel School. Regina Catholic School Division says they are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff. Due to the mitigations in place, all classes will continue as normal.

Wednesday night Regina Public said in a release that a positive case has been identified at École Elsie Mironuck, Plainsview School, and École Wascana Plains.

Regina Catholic says someone tested positive at St. Kateri Tekakwitha School.

In all instances contact tracing is underway, the schools remain open for those who are not told to self isolate for 14 days.

Yesterday 112 new cases of COVID-19 were announced in the province, the active case count is now up to 1,363.

In the Regina zone 283 cases are considered active.
