Classroom closes at Regina’s École Wascana Plains School after positive COVID-19 case

Regina Public Schools says a positive case of COVID-19 has been found in an individual at École Wascana Plains School. As a result, the impacted classroom has been closed and students will participate in remote learning.

It’s expected students from the class will return to school on Monday, November 30.

École Wascana Plains School remains open for all other students.

The school division shared in a news release on late Thursday afternoon that close contacts were phoned by school staff and division administration. They were given information and direction on how long they should self-isolate.

This comes after a positive case was announced at the school six days prior on November 11.
