Moose Jaw Police say cougar sighting was really a housecat

Moose Jaw Police say a possible cougar sighting on Monday turned out to be a common housecat.

Around 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, officers were alerted to the possible sighting near the Wakamow Valley.

“Police attended to the area along with conservation officers, and the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV/drone). conservation officers were able to determine the sighting was most likely a common housecat that resides in the area,” a news release stated.

There were no cougar tracks found in the area of the possible sighting nor was there anything spotted with the drone.
