The provincial government has announced 175 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Tuesday.
70 of the new cases were located in Regina, while 28 were found in Saskatoon, 14 in the north west zone, 13 in the far north east.
Other zones to report cases included the central west (nine), the far north central (five), the north west (five), the north central (five), the south east (four), the north east (four), the south west (three), and the central east (two). Four cases are pending residence location.
112 people have recovered from COVID-19. The active case count is up to 2,927.
105 people are in hospital, with 85 people in inpatient care, and 20 patients in ICU.
3,174 tests were conducted Monday. A total of 324,060 tests have been administered to date in Saskatchewan.
The province has postponed their COVID-19 briefing scheduled for Tuesday until to Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM. It is believed that further COVID-19 restrictions and measures will be put into place after Wednesday’s media briefing.
