A shortened fall session in the Saskatchewan Legislature begins on Monday.

Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty will deliver the speech from the Throne Monday afternoon.

Before that a new speaker of the house will be elected.

In a news release sent out earlier this month, the province said that to help protect everyone from COVID-19 the assembly has been redesigned to create more space for physical distancing, adding plexiglass shields have been installed at desks.
