A death investigation has started after a body was discovered in south Regina Tuesday morning

Regina Police say they received a call just before 7:30 about a sick or injured person laying in the snow in the area of 23rd Avenue and Hillsdale Street.

Upon arrival, the body of a woman was found dead.

The name and age of the woman has not been released with the RCMP being asked to help in notifying out-of-town next-of-kin.
