The Ministry of Agriculture is running a “12 Days of Christmas” campaign to show some programs crop producers may be interested in taking part in during the winter months.

Every day, the agriculture ministry will send a tweet promoting one of the programs being put on by crop extension specialists throughout the province.

Crop Extension Specialist for the Swift Current region Shannon Chant says this is a fun way to communicate with farmers.

“We saw this as an opportunity to highlight some of our key agronomic information that we have and some of the events that we have coming up this month and next month,” Chant said. “We’re looking to connect with producers to share information that can help their operation.”

Chant says this is the first time the crop specialists are getting involved in a campaign like this.
