COVID-19 won’t stop Bushwakker’s annual Blackberry Mead day

It will look a little different than usual this year, but one Regina bar is continuing what has become a very long tradition in Regina.

On the first Saturday of December, Bushwakker Brew Pub on Dewdney Avenue releases its blackberry mead and despite the challenges 2020 has brought, they will do it again today.

Manager Grant Frew says people won’t be lining up the way they have years past so they found another way and it has become just as popular.

“We sold about 80 percent of our mead already, so we will have a small amount available for people that just want to come in on Saturday, come into the brewpub and pick up some bottles,” said Frew.

Pickup starts at 11.
