The Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit began an investigation in late November into illegal firearms trafficking.
On Friday, as a result of that investigation, two separate search warrants were authorized and executed involving a vehicle and residence located on the 1500 block of Rae Street.
A search of both the vehicle and the residence revealed the seizure of two firearms, ammunition, and illicit drugs including fentanyl.
Three people have been charged: 41-year-old Larry James Olson, 42-year-old Ryan Lloyd Stewart, and 37-year-old Kristin Ashley Allard.
Stewart and Olson have jointly been charged the careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence.
Allard and Olson have been jointly charged with the careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence.
Allard was prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunitions and subsequently charged.
All three are scheduled to appear in court Monday.
