On Saturday around 8:30 pm, Regina Police responded to an accident at the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Lewvan Drive.

Traffic in the area was restricted as Collision Analysts and members of the Forensic Identification Unit investigated the collision.

The roadway was cleared, and traffic restored at approximately 11:15 pm.

Early stages of the investigation indicate a northbound vehicle on Lewvan Drive was attempting to turn westbound on Dewdney Avenue when struck by a southbound vehicle.

The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 69-year-old woman, was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 24-year-old man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

RPS continues to investigate this incident.
