The New York Times says the Cleveland “Indians” are dropping their name.

After 105 years the change could come as soon as this week.

Many Indigenous and Native-Americans have protested the name for decades, calling it racist and culture appropriation.

The Indians have not released any details or announced any news conferences as of Monday morning.

Earlier this year the NFL’s Washington Football Team dropped its name as well.
