Craig Dickenson will have one fewer coach on his staff in 2021.
The team announced its 2021 coaching staff Monday. All 10 of the coaches are returning from this year.
Jason Shivers in back for a third year as Defensive Coordinator. He extended his contract through 2022.
Jason Maas stays on Offensive Coordinator after joining the team for 2020. His deal now runs though 2022 as well.
The rest of the coaching staff have contracts through 2021:
Defensive Backs: Richard Kent
Running Backs: Josh Lambert (moves from Offensive Assistant)
Special Teams: Kent Maugeri
Linebackers: Deion Melvin
Receivers: Travis Moore
Defensive Line: Ben Olson
Offensive Line: Stephen Sorrells
The Riders had 11 coaches under contract in 2020. The one coach from that staff not listed on Monday’s news release is RB Coach Tim Prinsen. He appears to the be the victim of the reduction of the football operations cap that goes into effect for this season. Dickenson has previously said he would have to reduce his staff and there would be pay cuts for the remaining coaches, including himself.
