Two homegrown Riders are staying with the club for a while.
The Riders announced local products Dan Clark and Brendon LaBatte will be staying with the club through the 2022 season after inking new deals with the football club thus avoiding free agency.
LaBatte, who comes from Weyburn, has been with the team since the 2012 season when he came via free agency from Winnipeg. The league’s most outstanding lineman in 2013 is a six-time CFL all-star and will be looking to rebound after a 2019 season that saw him play only seven games due to injury.
Clark had his best season with the Riders in 2019 as he was named a CFL all-star for the first time.
After playing with the Regina Thunder, Clark joined the Riders in 2012.
