Saskatoon Police charge eight more protest attendees for Public Health Act violations

Eight more people have been charged for breaching public health orders in connection to a protest held in Saskatoon on December 19th.

Saskatoon Police issued a news release on the matter, saying the eight individuals were identified as “key participants” of the rally, and have the option to pay a $2,800 fine or appear in court.

SPS also announced four other people who faced tickets in connection to the protest will no longer have the option of paying the fine and will appear in court at a later date.

Saskatoon Police have now ticketed a total of 15 people for Public Health Act violations.
