Saskatoon company fined 70 thousand dollars for workplace fatality

Saskatoon-based Sommer Green Forages has been fined a total of 70 thousand dollars under the Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

The fine stemmed from a workplace fatality that occurred on October 25th, 2019 near Broderick.

While cleaning the teeth on the roller of a baler, the worker became entangled, resulting in the worker’s death.

Broderick is about 225 kilometers northwest of Regina.
