The Regina Pats’ 1st Overall pick, Connor Bedard is skating in the BCHL with the West Kelowna Warriors.
Bedard tested negative for COVID-19 and is expected to take the ice with the Warriors Friday. He is scheduled to train and practice in West Kelowna until Pats training camp begins.
Pats GM John Paddock says the opportunity allows Connor to stay in top shape and come into training camp ready.
“We look forward to having Connor in Regina soon, as we prepare for the WHL season,” said Paddock.
Planning for the 2021 WHL season is ongoing, as the league continues to work with provincial health authorities to ensure a safe return to play.
