Slippery conditions on the Ring Road caused a vehicle to collide with a police vehicle.

At around 7:30 am, Regina Police received a call that a vehicle has slid off the road and collided with a large signpost near the Albert Street South exit.

While officers were on the scene, several other vehicles encountered the extremely icy conditions and slid in the ditch. One vehicle collided with a patrol car.

The officer was not injured, but two people from other vehicles involved were assessed for minor injuries.

Everything was cleared up shortly after 10:30 am.

Police say no other significant weather-related crashes were reported.
