Crosswalk to be installed on Albert Street south near south service roads

The City of Regina is installing a pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Albert Street south and the south service roads.

The crosswalk will be similar to the one installed at the intersection of Wascana Parkway and 23rd Avenue, complete with illuminated crosswalk signs, lighting to improve pedestrian visibility to drivers, as well as poles and push buttons on both sides of the street.

Installation will begin later this month, and is set to be complete in the early spring.

It’s the same intersection where a 21-year-old woman died after being hit by a City of Regina excavator in November.
