Two people facing murder charges after stabbing on Flying Dust First Nation

Meadow Lake RCMP have charged two people in connection to a homicide on the Flying Dust First Nation, about three hours north of Saskatoon.

Officers were called to a residence on Deer Street at about 9:00 PM on Tuesday, where a 43-year-old man was suffering from from serious stab wounds. He died a short time later in hospital. The man has been identified as Kenneth Merasty.

Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested and charged by the RCMP Major Crime Unit.

31-year-old Conrad Merasty has been charged with second degree murder, while 31-year-old Lucy Whitecap faces numerous charges, including second degree murder, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.
