WEATHER ALERT: Extreme cold warnings remain for much of Saskatchewan Friday

It’s getting better in the northern part of the province, but the extreme cold remains for most of Saskatchewan for Friday.

Environment Canada says the Artic ridge of high pressure continues to hover over Saskatchewan and Manitoba, keeping cold temperatures in both provinces.

Winds between 10-20 km/h are causing extreme wind chill values of -40°C or colder in many areas.

Help is on the way; the forecast for the Regina area sees a warm-up starting on Monday, with a high of -17°C.
