[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The ground was shaking in Banff. Alberta Saturday night.
The United States Geological Survey had initially reported the quake as a 4.4 magnitude, but Canada uses a different subset of stations that are closer to the town, providing a more accurate number. The epicentre was about five kilometers north of the town near Cascade Mountain.
Residents say they heard a loud boom thinking there was an explosion or a train derailment.
At this time, there appears to be no damage.
