SaskTix launches in Moose Jaw

The City of Moose Jaw is launching a whole new ticketing system aimed at being convenient for patrons.

The platform called SaskTix.ca will allow people to have their tickets texted to them, and scan them at the venue, making for a completely contactless process.

General Manager of Mosaic Place, Ryan MacIvor, says the new technology will allow them to hit the ground running when events are allowed.

“This is a great opportunity while, perhaps, there isn’t a lot of activities or events going on, for us to launch it, do it, so that when we do come back to business, we’re not launching something, or looking to switch ticket companies, or any of that sort of stuff, in the midst of a season or an activity, or something like that,” said MacIvor.

While the platform is only live in Moose Jaw, MacIvor is hoping other communities adopt the program.

“Instead of everyone having their own ticketing site, etc, this is an opportunity of one-stop shopping that we’re trying to build an aggregate, “said MacIvor. “One place to go to purchase your tickets.”

MacIvor says he’s excited for people to use SaskTix and discover how easy it is.

“It’s going to be so much better for the consumer because the consumer controls a good portion of how it works,” said MacIvor. “So, I think that there will be a great opportunity for them.”
