The weekly average steer price was 213 dollars 57 cents.
Feeder heifers were mixed but mainly higher as well.

The largest price increase was in the 600 to 700 pound category, up 3 dollars 92 cents to end the week at an average price of 180 dollars 63 cents per hundredweight.

The average weekly heifer price was 181 dollars per hundredweight.

Acting provincial cattle specialist Natasha Wilkie says feeder cattle prices were moving up on lower inventory and rising cattle futures.
