COVID-19 outbreak declared at Regina’s St. Marguerite Bourgeoys School

The Regina Catholic School Division says a Saskatchewan Health Authority medical officer has confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys School. The declaration is due to two linked cases of the virus within the school.

On Wednesday, the SHA informed the school division of an additional COVID-19 diagnosis in an individual of the school.

“The affected classroom is already closed and self-isolating due to a previous case,” stated the school division on Wednesday. “All parents/guardians in the classroom have been notified. All other classrooms will remain open, and classes will resume with business as usual on Monday, February 22 after the break.”

Regina Catholic added they are working closely with public health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students.
