A 52 year old man is dead after being hit by a truck as he walked down Highway 9 on the White Bear First Nation in the province’s southeast.
RCMP say they were called to the area near the Bear Claw Casino around 7:15 Sunday night.
A truck was heading south down the highway when it hit the man who was also heading in that direction.
The 26-year old driver of the truck stopped and tried life-saving efforts on the man until emergency responders arrived, but he was declared dead on scene.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered a factor.
An investigation continues.
