The AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for national use by Health Canada.
This marks the third vaccine to be given the green light for national use.
Canada had already pre-ordered 20-million doses, which was also developed by researchers at the University of Oxford.
The country will also receive up to 1.9-million more through the global vaccine-sharing initiative, COVAX.
Two other vaccines from Novavax and Johnson and Johnson are still being reviewed by Health Canada.
