Saskatchewan comes through for TeleMiracle again

Like many other things, this year’s TeleMiracle looked a lot different than the previous 44 editions of the 20-hour telethon, but when the clock hit 5 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Saskatchewan had once again shown off its generous spirit.

The event, which did not have a live audience this year with performances from Saskatchewan talent being pre-recorded, took in $5,630,215 dollars.  That is just over $100,000 than last year’s show and is the highest total since 2018.

One of the biggest donations was one that saw a bequest of almost a million dollars.

The telethon, which featured Saskatchewan’s Brad Johner, Jess Moskaluke, Chris Henderson and Jeffrey Straker as some of the hosts, sees all proceeds stay in Saskatchewan and are granted through the Kinsmen Foundation for
specialized medical and mobility equipment, and assistance with medical travel. The Foundation receives
over 1,000 applications for assistance from Saskatchewan residents each year.
